Layer Count Calculator
Compute layers from height and layer height.
Enter model height and layer height to get layer count, rounded layers, and actual printed height.
Defaults based on common profiles; adjust to match your slicer.
Rounding up is safest to avoid under-printing height.
Examples
- 50 mm @ 0.20 → 250 layers (ceil), actual 50.0 mm.
- 120 mm @ 0.28 → ~429 layers (ceil), actual ~120.1 mm.
FAQ
Why round up?
Rounding up avoids under-printing the target height. Use nearest if you prefer a tighter estimate.
Does this set top/bottom layers?
No—add extra layers in your slicer. The “extra” selector is just to estimate added height.
